Woman Charged For Prostitution in Mission

In Mission, an undercover operation leads to the arrest of a woman charged with prostitution identified as Yadira Lozano.
According to investigators, Lopez would advertise on Facebook offering massage services. Police discovered she was also prostituting herself running the so-called massage business out of an apartment she was renting for that reason alone.

"It was a small time business, open in a residential area. When we executed the search warrant, there were children playing and that's just not a good combination for allowing criminal activity to occur in a neighborhood." Jody Tittle, Spokesperson for the Mission Police Department.

Lopez faced a judge today for that prostitution charge and was handed a 20 thousand dollar fine.

Trespasser shot twice by homeowner in Mission

Mission - Exclusive images of a man who was shot at twice by a homeowner who took Justice into his own hands.

The suspect was later found at a hospital where he was receiving treatment for his gunshot wounds. I spoke with the homeowner who says the only reason he fired his gun was to protect his family.

These are exclusive images shared by the homeowner that show the intruder at the family's home this morning. The homeowner tells Fox 2 he woke up during the night I saw the intruder in his backyard through the surveillance cameras.

“The homeowners did the shoot towards the male subject that was on his property. The male subject was then seen fleeing the property and jumped the fence” -- Celina Flores (Hidalgo county Sheriff’s Spokesperson)

The police showed up at his house in the 7000 block of North bentsen Palm Drive to copy of the surveillance footage which helped them identify the suspect.

“Investigators responded to that local hospital and through the investigation it was determined that it was the same male subject that was on the property” -- Celina Flores (Hidalgo county Sheriff’s Spokesperson)

Although he failed at taking anything with him, County authorities say he faces criminal trespassing charges. He is expected to be released from the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and is set to face charges later this week.

Texas law states “A person is Justified in using deadly force against another to protect land or tangible, movable property” they will not be criminally charged. (Texas Penal code 9.42)

This incident continues under investigation tonight but according to police, the homeowner was in his right to fire at the suspect as he was illegally trespassing this property.
